The IEH is based on a foundation of cooperation, partnerships and win-win outcomes. Success for all participants and the overall program will be assured based on this foundation. We have established agreements with Industry Partners to identify the training courses for a number of projects with high paying jobs that are looking for skilled workers.
FRASER CROSSING PARTNERSHIP - PATTULLO BRIDGE PROJECT
The Pattullo Bridge is a key connection between the communities of Surrey and New Westminster. The new four-lane toll-free bridge will provide important improvements for everyone using the bridge, including people who are driving, cycling or walking, as well as communities on either side of the bridge.

BROADWAY SUBWAY PROJECT
The Broadway Subway Project is a 5.7 km extension of the Millennium Line, from VCC-Clark Station to Broadway and Arbutus. It will provide fast, frequent and convenient SkyTrain service to B.C.’s second largest jobs centre, world-class health services, and emerging innovation and research hub, and growing residential communities.
Cowichan District Hospital Replacement Project
The plan for a new $887.4M hospital, with capacity for 201 beds, is strengthened by an innovative approach to delivering integrated health services across the Cowichan Valley.
Project Milestones:
- 2013 – Island Health confirmed its commitment to replace Cowichan District Hospital (CDH).
- 2018 – The concept plan to replace CDH approved by provincial government.
- 2020 – The business plan to replace CDH approved by provincial government.
- 2021 – Procurement phase
- 2022 – Anticipated start of design and construction phase
- 2026 – Anticipated opening
