A Training Plan That's Built for You!
The IEH Team will create a personal Training Plan with every individual. The team will help all participants be successful through each course. There is full wrap-around support to ensure we assist in the needs of all participants.
The IEH offers several 1 to 8-hour courses in Phase 1 that will train an individual to an entry level position in construction within 3-4 weeks. These courses will often be held at Oyster Bay in the IEH Facility with a qualified instructor, as well as conducted online and through home study kits.
The program also includes Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) training and assistance with Apprenticeship Programs to full Journeyman Certification as a carpenter, electrician, welder, plumber, etc. Individuals will receive great wages during the time they are learning a trade on the job.
Interest Assessment
The assessment will help identify jobs that meet your interests. We will work with you to confirm what you like and don’t like to do, then we will match your likes and dislikes to a career and create a personalized Training Plan.

Job Placement Services
The IEH model builds on labour needs for infrastructure projects in BC and links the training and recruitment efforts with current construction projects. As a result, job seekers have a clear picture of the opportunities available and what they need to do to take advantage of those opportunities.
On the Job Support
The IEH will identify current job opportunities and continue to provide support during the placement of all First Nation workers.
